Welcome to the home of MCAULEY, HORAN (SOLAS) and O CAOIMH (CALADH NUA) on the web! We are delighted to announce the release of our new album “SAILING BACK TO YOU” which is now available ! It is a collection of traditional and original songs and instrumentals which includes everything from haunting songs and airs to high- octane reels and jigs- we do hope you enjoy it.

MICK MCAULEY and WINIFRED HORAN are both long-time members of Irish- American supergoup SOLAS who have recorded ten albums to worldwide critical acclaim and have been praised by the Boston Herald as “The Best Irish traditional band in the world”. (check out www.solasmusic.com)

We are so grateful to have also received such a fantastic reaction to Winifred and Mick’s debut duet album “Serenade” (Compass Records) all the way back in 2006 (where does the time go???), We were delighted with all the great reviews we received from the music press but even happier with the warmth with which it was received by the many fans we got to meet after all the amazing shows we’ve gotten to play, both as SOLAS and as a duet over the years since. Thanks so much to you all who have encouraged us over the years to record a follow up and after a long and winding road, IT”S FINALLY HERE!!!!

For “SAILING BACK TO YOU” Mick and Win have teamed up with the amazing young dynamic Guitarist, Colm O Caoimh. who is a native of The Marble City of Kilkenny, Ireland. Colm and Mick have known and played with each other for several years in various informal sessions and gigs in Ireland. So it was a natural decision to ask Colm to be involved and we were delighted he was up for it!!!

Colm is one of the most naturally gifted and masterful guitarists in any genre of music today and brings a fresh unbridled energy to the up-tempo reels and jigs but also a sweet sensitivity to the gentler tracks on SAILING BACK TO YOU.
